Want to go to Pop Up Magazine with me?
Pop Up Magazine issue number four is coming up on Thursday. It’s way sold out. Like, Kanye West plays the Fillmore sold out. Like: Lady GaGa at Bottom of the Hill sold out. I have two tickets. They are not the greatest seats (A 17 & A 19), but they are seats. Sadly, my lovely wife cannot go. Which means I have an extra. I could sell it, or give it to a friend, but I’ve decided to do something more interesting with it: I’m going to give it away (kind of) to a stranger.
Here’s how to get it in three easy steps:
1. Buy Issue One of Longshot magazine.
You are on the honor system here. I’m not going to police receipts. I expect anyone interested in going to Pop-Up will be cool enough to be honest. (And note that buying one issue of Longshot is cheaper than the ticket to Pop Up. You’re still getting a good deal.)
2. Post a link to Issue One on your blog, Twitter, Facebook, or whatever.
You can link to either http://one.longshotmag.com or http://www.magcloud.com/browse/Issue/109244 It doesn’t really matter. And again, I’m not going to police this. I trust you.
3. Send some Follow Friday love to @longshotmag AND @popupmag on Twitter with the hashtag #sfmagazines.
Your tweet should look something like this: #FF:@longshotmag @popupmag #sfmagazines are the greatest. It doesn’t have to look exactly like that. That is just a suggestion. Be creative. Be mysterious. Are you reading this on Saturday or Sunday or Monday? Don’t worry! You can perform this task on any day of the week. It will just make your Follow Friday all the more beguiling and effective. Beguiling! Effective!
At 2 PM on Monday, I’ll print up everyone’s name who does the above, cut them up in little strips, and pick one person at random. And, what the hell, for kicks I’ll livestream that.
