The Amazon redesign looks great. But it still wastes a ton of space trying to sell me a Kindle that it knows I already own.
Amazon knows so much about my purchasing habits and history—by far more than any other retailer. Yet it shows me the same Kindle ad whether I’m signed in or not.
I find it hard to believe that it can’t drop something else in that slot for people who already have Kindles.

Says the guy with 3 iPads. Maybe Amazon finds it likely that people who already have Kindles will purchase them for others as a gift (or any reason.)
